120th Birth Anniversary of President Hồ Chí Minh (19-05-1890 – 02-09-1969)

 

On the 16th of May 2010, the Vietnam’s Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) issues the stamp series  “120th Birth Anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (19-05-1890 – 02-09-1969)” consisting of 1 value of 2,000 đ at Nghệ An province - Hồ Chí Minh's native land.

 

President Ho Chi Minh is the great leader of the Vietnamese Communist Party & people, the founder of this Party & State of Vietnam. His portrait, life & cause have been deeply engraved in mind and unforgettable remembrance of Vietnamese people and the world's peace-lovers as well forever.

The 100th Anniversary of Bung Karno

The Indonesian Post issued the commemorative stamp series of the 100th Anniversary of Bung Karno on June 06, 2001.This issue depicts Soekarno pictures in 4 postage stamps.

Bung Karno was born on June 6, 1901 in Surabaya. He was born on the break  of the day. Kusno is initially  name given by his parent. Since he was a sickly boy, then  his name changed with Karno and added with prefix “Soe”, became Soekarno. It is means the good knight.

Barack Obama–44th President of USA

Obama was born on August 4, 1961, at Kapiʻolani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital  in Honolulu, Hawaii, and is the first President to have been born in Hawaii. His mother, Stanley Ann Dunham, was born in Wichita, Kansas and was of mostly English descent.In 1971, Obama returned to Honolulu to live with his maternal grandparents, Madelyn and Stanley Armour Dunham, and attended Punahou School, a private college preparatory school, from the fifth grade until his graduation from high school in 1979.

A native of Honolulu, Hawaii, Obama is a graduate of Columbia University and Harvard Law School, where he was the president of the Harvard Law Review. He was a community organizer in Chicago before earning his law degree. He worked as a civil rights attorney in Chicago and taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago Law School from 1992 to 2004.
